Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective 10 September 2026
This policy explains how to cancel a NeuralQ subscription, when a payment can be refunded, and how long a refund takes to reach you. It applies to purchases made directly from NeuralQ Systems Private Limited through the pricing page. Enterprise customers on a signed order form follow the refund and termination terms of that order form where those differ.
Current status: NeuralQ is not charging for paid plans yet. Paid plans are on a waitlist and no customer has been billed. This policy is published so that the terms are known before billing begins.
1. The Free plan
The Free plan costs nothing and there is nothing to refund. You can stop using it or delete your account at any time.
2. Cancelling a paid subscription
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account billing settings, or by emailing hello@neuralq.in from the address on the account.
Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have already paid for: your plan keeps working until the end of that period, and then the account returns to the Free plan. We do not charge a cancellation fee, and we do not require notice.
Cancelling is not the same as requesting a refund. If you want money back for the current period, ask for a refund as described below.
3. When we refund
We refund in full, without argument, in these cases:
- Duplicate payment. You were charged more than once for the same period.
- Charged after cancelling. A renewal was taken after you cancelled.
- Charged the wrong amount. The amount taken does not match the price shown at checkout.
- Unauthorized payment. The payment was not made by you or by someone permitted to use the account.
- Extended failure on our side. A defect or outage attributable to NeuralQ made the paid features unusable for a significant part of the billing period and we could not fix it in reasonable time.
4. First-period refund window
Beyond the cases above, we refund the first payment on a new paid subscription if you ask within seven days of that payment. This is meant as a genuine chance to try a paid plan and change your mind. Refunds under this window are given as a full refund of that payment.
We may decline a request under this window where usage on the account is inconsistent with trying the product in good faith, such as consuming a large share of the plan's monthly session allowance before asking. Where we decline, we will say why.
5. What we do not refund
- Renewal payments after the first period, once that period has begun. Cancel before the renewal date instead.
- Part of a period you have already used, except in the cases listed in section 3. We do not pro-rate a mid-period cancellation.
- Promotional credits, trial credits, and discounts. These have no cash value and cannot be converted to money.
- Fees where an account was suspended or terminated for a material breach of the Terms of Service.
Nothing in this section limits a right to a refund that applicable consumer law gives you and that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. How to request a refund
Email hello@neuralq.in from the address on the account, and include the payment date, the amount, and what you would like refunded. You do not need to state a reason to use the seven-day window in section 4.
We acknowledge refund requests within three business days and decide within seven business days of receiving the information needed to identify the payment. If we need something further from you, we will ask once and clearly.
7. How a refund reaches you
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through the payment provider that processed the charge. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card, account, or person, because the refund travels back along the path the payment took.
Once we approve and submit a refund, the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, and is typically five to seven business days after submission. We will confirm by email when the refund has been submitted, and that email is your evidence that it is on its way.
Refunds are made in the currency of the original payment. Where the original payment was converted by your bank, the amount that lands may differ slightly from the amount charged because exchange rates move. NeuralQ does not add a fee to a refund, but we cannot compensate for a currency movement or a fee charged by your own bank.
8. Taxes
Where a refund is issued, any tax collected on the refunded amount is refunded with it, as required by applicable tax rules.
9. Disagreements
If you disagree with a refund decision, reply to our email and ask for it to be reviewed. If that does not resolve it, you can raise the matter with our Grievance Officer, Shivank Goyal, at grievance@neuralq.in. Contact details and response timelines are published in the Privacy Policy.
We would rather refund a disputed payment than have you raise a chargeback with your bank, because a chargeback is slower for you and gives us no way to explain. Please contact us first.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The payment you made is governed by the version of this policy that was in effect on the date of that payment, so a later change cannot remove a refund right you already had. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
